Expect the unexpected at The Kirk Gallery's Fetish Ball

The Kirk Gallery, Sydney's leading avant-guarde performance space, will host an extravangant Fetish Ball on Saturday 23rd September. To mark the occasion, the Kirk commissioned a number of local and international artists to produce performances especially for the event based on their interpretation of the art of pain. Expect the unexpected.

Stage performances at the ball will include a dangerous aerial bondage ballet piece entitled Web of Death, a rarely seen in Sydney performance of Apache Adagio by Russian-trained dancer Glen Walsh, and a tap dancing ventriloquist act from everybody's favourite tiny beauty, Emma Thompson.

Guest will also be treated to a live show from the inimitable Gurlesque ladies, as well as from Natano Faanana, a heavily tattooed Samoan artist who will perform death-defying stunts on his tissue of love to the sounds of live drums. The Butchered Babes, starring Wendy Dys, Miss Mia Mortal and Glen Walsh, will present a thought-provoking act based on one man's extreme love of shoes, in the Shoe Man Walk.

In between acts, Penthouse Pets will wrestle in a specially erected pool of slippery jelly and Mr Spanky and The Sideshow of Lust will give willing guests the opportunity to get a good old fashioned spanking. Madame Lash will tie guest, tickling them into frenzy. Guests will also be able to participate in a fashion parade at the end of the ball to get a chance to win a fabulous prize.
