FURTHER RECOGNITION FOR NEW PRODUCT

In addition to the Best New Product award received at Designbuild in Melbourne last month, Connolly Key Joint Pty Ltd yesterday received a commendation award at the Northern Rivers Business Innovation Awards 2004, held at Southern Cross University in Lismore.

Mr David Tyler, General Manager of Connolly Key Joint Pty Ltd, said "It is very pleasing to have this product recognised for its innovation and commercial potential. Unlike the Designbuild award received recently, which was confined to products within the building industry, these awards were open to new products from all types of industries."

Mr Tyler said that their new expansion joint was conceived, designed and developed locally by their dedicated team of staff and is now being produced in their Casino factory for sale throughout Australia.

He added that export of the new product was also likely as their existing products are now being sold in New Zealand, Canada and North America. Negotiations are also under way with potential distributors in Malaysia, China and Singapore.
