LEE
KERNAGHANS SUPER SHOW TO ROCK TAMWORTH THEATRE
Lee Kernaghan is taking his Electric Rodeo Super Show
to the Tamworth Music Festival to reward fans with
one of the biggest country music stage shows ever
seen.
The
Electric Rodeo Super Show has enjoyed a sell-out tour
around Australia.
It
will be held at 8pm on Wednesday, January 21 at the
Toyota Country Theatre, the only venue in Tamworth
that can accommodate the production requirements of
the concert, according to Kernaghan.
Tickets
are available from Tourism Tamworth.
The
Super Show uses a 50-foot cinema-size screen as the
bands backdrop to display vision shot from miniature
cameras mounted on all the instruments.
The
screen will also show footage from a camera crew mingling
in the audience, cut with pre-recorded video clips.
Theres
a large amount of pre-production that has gone into
the visual component of the show, Kernaghan
said.
Annalise
Braakensiek, who is in the film clip Rock My
World, will make an appearance out of a wall
of flames.
Theres
also a special tribute to Slim Dusty in the show -
but I wont give too much away about that yet.
Kernaghan
said the appearances of Colin Buchanan and James Blundell
would be a highlight of the show.
Both
Colin and James were key writers on the Electric Rodeo
album, he said.
They
will be joining me on stage along with Steve Ford
and The Flange, who were with me on tour.
A
special broadcast of the Toyota Outback Club radio
show, recorded live just prior to the concerts
commencement, will be part of the show.
Kernaghan
said it was his role as the Balladeer in the theatre
production The Man From Snowy River that spawned the
Electric Rodeo tour.
Working on a production the size of Snowy River
really inspired me to do something new with the Electric
Rodeo album - and thats where the Electric Rodeo
Super Show was born.
He
described the Toyota Country Theatre as the ideal
venue to host his mammoth Super Show, and one that
would suit a variety of concerts.
Its
whats been needed in Tamworth for a long time.
We know that people come from all over Australia to
Tamworth for the festival - and this January I think
those people will head for the Toyota Country Theatre.
