As
more and more businesses move across to VoIP enabled
phone systems, suppliers are looking for new ways
to bolster their capabilities.
Messages
On Hold's latest solution extends the current on hold
functionality available to BroadWorks customers by
allowing for playback of unique messages every time
a caller is placed on hold, time-based scheduling
of content plus overall simplified management of all
changes to messages playing on hold.
"By
providing an external on hold audio source, we're
able to manage the content remotely it's completely
hands-free for the client," Messages On Hold
Managing Director Kym Illman explained.
"Callers
are now able to hear a unique message in its
entirety every time their call is placed on
hold or transferred between departments," he
says.
"The
benefit of hearing new content each time, and not
coming in mid-way, is that callers won't tune out
because they missed the beginning or have already
heard a message play previously."
Messages
On Hold is responsible for the recorded voice announcements
and promotional messages & royalty-free music
heard on hold at more than 11,000 businesses in 20
countries across the globe. Looking to the future,
Messages On Hold also hopes to make time-based scheduling
available to BroadWorks clients. This would potentially
allow for time sensitive products and services to
be delivered to callers during times they're most
relevant.
Kym
Illman is the owner and managing director of Australia's
largest on hold message provider. Kym is also a noted
ambush marketer, Tarmac rally driver and presenter
