Pornhub
blocks Virginia users following new age verification

Starting
Saturday, the popular pornography website Pornhub
will be blocked for users with Virginia-based IP addresses,
after a new state law requires users to submit government
identification to verify their age before accessing
adult content.
The
legislation was signed into law in May and goes into
effect on Saturday. Users who go to the website will
be met with a message opposing the legislation, accompanied
by a video featuring porn actress Cherie Deville reading
it, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
"As
you may know, your elected officials in Virginia are
requiring us to verify your age before allowing you
access to our website," the statement reads.
"While safety and compliance are at the forefront
of our mission, giving your ID card every time you
want to visit an adult platform is not the most effective
solution for protecting our users, and in fact, will
put children and your privacy at risk."
Virginia
Sen. Bill Stanley, R-Franklin, told the Virginia Mercury
in March that the legislation sought to address what
he called the "epidemic" of childhood exposure
to pornography.
Users
can either upload copies of government-issued identification
or other unspecified commercial technology to prove
they are of age.
The
law applies to any website where 33.3% or more of
the content is "material harmful to minors."
"I
believe that children should be protected from pornography
and I want to make sure that we do that," Virginia
Gov. Glenn Youngkin said in May when he signed the
legislation.
Those
who violate the new policies could be subject to civil
liabilities.
Virginia
becomes the second such state to institute a law,
after Utah passed a similar bill in March.

Rousey Talks The Differences Between WWE Fans And
UFC Fans - September 2022

WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey recently took to her gaming
stream, where she talked about a number of topics
such as how the fans in the WWE care more about the
wrestlers than the UFC fans care about the fighters
and how the fans in the UFC have much less respect
for the veterans and legends of the sport than the
fans in the WWE do.

Rousey said:
“I
would say that the WWE fans care more about the wrestlers
than the UFC fans care more about the fighters. UFC
fans have much less respect for the veterans and legends
of the sport than WWE fans do. A lot of UFC fans are
kind of like bandwagon fans in that way.”
Ronda
Rousey also talked about how the second you’re
not on top in the UFC the fans of the sport turn on
you and how she doesn’t see UFC fans having the
same respect for the legends that got the sport to
where it is today as the fans in the WWE.

Rousey said:
“The
second you’re not on top, you’re dead to
them. Where WWE fans are like, ‘this is the guy
that did this 20 years ago’ and are still really
excited whereas UFC fans now are like, ‘Forrest
Griffin sucks.’ Uhh, you owe basically the whole
sport to him. Shit like that. ‘Anderson Silva
sucks. GSP [Georges St-Pierre] sucks.’ These
are people that elevated the sport and paved the way
for everybody else. I don’t see UFC fans having
the same respect for people that got the sport to
where it is as WWE fans. I’m not saying it’s
completely absent, I’m just saying I see more
respect for legends in WWE fans than UFC fans. There
are exceptions to everything.”

FORMER
UFC star Paige VanZant joined a number of American
Top Team stars at AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night.
PVZ
attended the New Jersey event along with Andrei Arlovski,
Kayla Harrison, Junior dos Santos and her husband
Austin Vanderford as back-up for ATT chief Dan Lambert.
The
MMA stars were all in the ring as Lambert unleashed
a verbal tirade at former WWE wrestlers Chris Jericho
and Jake Hager.
And
after seeing PVZ in the AEW ring, a number of wrestling
fans called for her to take on Thunder Rosa.
One
tweeted: "Give me Paige VanZant vs Thunder Rosa!"
Alongside
a picture of VanZant and Rosa, another asked: "Can
we have this as a match please?"
Most
wrestling fans were just stunned to see VanZant in
attendance at the Prudential Center.
One
said: "Is that Paige Vanzant in AEW? She's f*****g
great."
