Kyra Roberton
I am a Queensland girl, living in the sunshine state,
the heart of the gold coast. I am currently 18 years
old. I first entered miss teen Australia in November
last year.
I
am striving to be a naturopath and a qualified nutritionalist.I
won a trip to Trinidad and Tabago where I Represented
Australia in the Miss Teen World beauty pageant.
My
time in Trinidad and Tabago was the best growth and
learning experience I have ever had. I was put out
of my comfort zone and was expected to compete in
daily events such as national costume parade, talent
sections, fashion parades, swimwear, interviews, and
questioner sections. I had to put on a brave face,
shine my brightest smile and strive to do my best
on my own merit. The results, were pleasing. I gained
1st in the swimwear section, 1st in the best physique
section, miss congeniality voted by the other girls
and overall I placed second being 1st runner up within
the miss teen world pageant. I was very proud with
my efforts and very grateful that I had the opportunity
to meet such diverse group of girls from such different
cultures all displaying beauty in their own ways.
The
best thing I took home with me was the learning experience
that I gained, that will always belong to me, for
the rest of my life. I was very proud to represent
Australia and hope that my country is proud of me
to. What stands for the future now, who knows?, I
wish to pursue a direction in modelling and television
work. I have always loved modelling and working with
fashion and performance. I will strive to still continue
with my studies but what I have come to newly learn
is that life is too short to stand back from the wonderful
opportunities that may one day come your way. All
you can do is put yourself out there and see where
the wind takes you. And that's exactly what I plan
to do.
