It
has been confirmed Australia will return to the Eurovision
stage in May 2016.
The
European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Australian broadcaster
SBS have announced Australia will be competing in
one of two semi-finals after the positive response
to the country's performance in Vienna this year.
The
61st annual Eurovision Song Contest will take place
in Stockholm next year, with an estimated 180 million
viewers across the globe.
Singer/songwriter
Guy Sebastian represented Australia at the 60th anniversary
earlier this year, placing 5th in the competitions
final.
A
place in the final will not be guaranteed this year;
however the country has high hopes to once again display
their musical talent and cultural diversity.
