Who
is to say that Australia's Commonwealth Bank ban on
cryptocurrency credit card transactions won't actually
increase the worth of the somewhat controversial,
and always topical, Bitcoin - the world's most famous
cryptocurrency. Stranger things have happened in the
history of the commercial world.
Questions:
How do you make a book more popular? Answer: Ban it?
Many
experts state that part of the reason for the popularity
and invention of cryptocurrencies was born out of
frustration and lack of faith and trust in traditional
financial institutions and systems.
Numerous
world leading businessmen such as Richard Branson
have often been quoted on matters such as new systems
being invented when entrepreneurs and consumers see
room for improvement in a business sector, in this
case the finance sector.
Bitcoin
and other cryptocurrencies such as Ripple, Bitcoin
Cash, Monero and such may not be exactly "stable",
but traditional financial sectors have not exactly
being enjoying stability over the past month, witness
the volatility of the Australian Stock Exchange. This
is even without the influence of the Trump Factor,
which some analysts point to potential war, and that
means the military will be poised to profit from war
again, as it has since the beginning of time. Interestingly
enough, the military has seen strong merit in Bitcoin
cousin, Blockchain, which can offer accountability
in systems, to name just one application of the often
misunderstood process.
Does
the Australian government realise that by allowing
a ban on the cryptocurrency credit card transactions
the industry is one step towards becoming totally
underground, which will present its own new set of
challenges, threats and opportunities. And you thought
Monero was mysterious! This is all great fodder for
an Australian based documentary, something in the
winds a little birdy told us. Insiders point to poker
games, both online and in person events becoming more
below the surface on Australian soil since online
poker became all but outlawed in the land down under.
There are still legal gray areas in the poker industry
across the Asia Pacific industry, but there's still
plenty of games to be found across the internet and
in Sydney suburbia. Think Molly's Game with an Australian
convict edge. Gritty stuff for another Aussie documentary.
Hello George Miller, Richard Bradley and Mel Gibson
(Icon Productions), to name but a few.
Stay
tuned to the Media Man network for more of the cat
and mouse game between the Australian banks, starting
with the Commonwealth Bank, and the crypto kids. There's
more controversy yet to come - you can bet on it.
