Challenge Jackpot Channel To Include Roulette Game - 1st July 2008

Get Set Roulette will be one of the games making up part of Virgin Media's new gaming channel.

Roulette is one of the automated interactive games television viewers can play when Virgin Media's new Challenge Jackpot channel starts today.

Dubbed Get Set Roulette, the game will let audiences place bets on red or black, as well as their favoured numbers.

Challenge Jackpot also includes a poker game Face Up Hold'em and is brought to the screen in association with Two Way Media, reports Digital Spy.

Those wishing to tune in to the new gambling offering can access the channel via Virgin 1 and Bravo 2 simulcasts on Sky, as well as on Virgin Media cable and Freeview.

Bingo and poker are already represented on television through programmes such as Late Night Poker and Bingo Night Live, but roulette is one game that does not have as much coverage.

Virgin Media television managing director Jonathan Webb explained that the new channel hopes to take interactivity with viewers to "the next level".

"Challenge Jackpot is the first step in reinventing Challenge for the 21st century," he added.
