PartyGaming
boosted by casino arm - 9th July 2009

Online gaming firm PartyGaming
has reported a significant rise in casino revenues,
despite a fall in activity from players due to
the warmer weather.
PartyGaming said the growth reflected a substantial
increase in the number of games offered at its
main casino site, PartyCasino.
Across the group, PartyGaming described trading
in its second quarter as robust after revenues
matched the previous three months.
Poker saw a marginal reduction in active player
days due to seasonality and strong competition
from US-facing sites.
And sports betting revenues were down on the previous
quarter following the end of the European football
season.
Chief executive Jim Ryan said PartyCasino
continued to go from "strength to strength"
with double digit percentage growth in revenues,
despite tough economic conditions.
He added: "The group's strategy remains on-track
and I am pleased that many of the seeds we have
sown over the past year are now beginning to bear
fruit."
Shares rose more than 2% following Thursday's
update.
