Virgin
television is set to back interactive gaming channel
Challenge Jackpot.
Today´s
launch is being pushed into the spotlight with
a £3 million campaign created by London
advertising firm Publicis.
The
multi-media venture includes an interactive service
on Virgin Media, a casino website and a live TV
broadcast, which brings together Virgin Television
and Two Way Gaming.
Challenge
Jackpot´s television offering will run eight
hours of live gaming shows a day and its flagship
show will be Roulette Nation.
Publicis,
which created the TV, print and online ad campaign
is the fastest growing advertising agency in the
world.
Neil
Simpson, chief executive of Publicis, said: "Online
gaming in the UK is evolving rapidly away from
functional betting into a rounded entertainment
experience."
According
to gambling.co.uk, Richard Branson won the multi-million
pound on-line gambling website Bodog.com in a
hand of poker.
Calvin
Ayre, founder of the company, was forced to step
down as CEO after losing a no-limit texas hold
´em poker game to the ginger entrepreneur.
