Virgin Games to roll out mobile gambling - 17th August 2007

Virgin Games is to roll out mobile versions of Virgin Casino and Virgin Poker before the end of the year as it looks to benefit from the growing number of people gambling via mobile.

It said that a mobile offering is a must when 2.9% of the UK population has used a mobile to bet or gamble.

"It's a big platform already and is only going to grow," said Ross Sleight, strategy director at Virgin Games. "We've been talking about this for six or seven years, but only now do we feel there's a marketplace with a system, the tracking and creative opportunities to go ahead with it."
