Canadian
poker players have reason to rejoice, as popular
brands Canadian Poker Tour and Canadian Poker
Player Magazine are about to return to the Internet.
Two
top multimedia entertainment companies have partnered
up to bring back Canada’s beloved Canadian
Poker Player Magazine: HeadsUp Entertainment International
and BroadRamp Canada have announced today their
intention to relaunch www.CanadianPokerTour.tv
and www.CanadianPokerPlayer.com.
HeadsUp
Entertainment develops, produces and distributes
television shows related to poker and other entertainment
themes and is best known by their Canadian Championship
Poker series. HeadsUp Entertainment also expanded
beyond television by including the popular Canadian
Poker Player Magazine into their pursuits. HeadsUp
has now partnered with BroadRamp to take these
brands into the brave new world of the Internet.
BroadRamp
Canada is a provider of Managed Content Delivery
Services(TM) for high-quality video and multimedia
broadcast over the Internet. According to their
press release, BroadRamp's MCDS “contains
delivery technology that results in instant-on,
high-definition, secure, low-cost transmission
of virtually any content to a browser-enabled
device. The result is rich multimedia and a superior
user experience.” A match made in heaven
for HeadsUp TV-based content, especially the Canadian
Poker Tour.
Kelly
Kellner, HeadsUp Entertainment CEO, explained
what their new online projects will consist of:
At
HeadsUp Entertainment we are delivering a full
package of both off-line and on-line media services
to the over 3 million Canadian Poker enthusiasts
that exceeds anything else available in the market.
The delivery of TV quality video on-line is enhanced
by also integrating a social network platform,
news feeds, and the CPT ranking system.
It
is our goal to provide branded entertainment experiences
worldwide and with BroadRamp MCDS(TM) we are opening
up our highest quality poker media to a global
village of on-line poker enthusiasts.
With
BroadRamp we have developed a fully interactive
media platform that will be the hub of information
and content that our members have been asking
for. We are also launching the Canadian Poker
Tour Members Card. The CPT Members Card includes
a subscription to the "Canadian Poker Player"
and is delivered in hard copy to your door and
on-line via BroadRamp's Me-Zine technology: Canadian
Poker Player Magazine On-Line.
Marc
Kronewitt, President and GM of BroadRamp Canada,
expanded of the benefits of the Canadian Poker
