My
mission: is to Help others Awaken to their Divine
Life Purpose & to Inspire others to Live their
Best Lives.
Inspiration:
My Family, Children, Everyday people, Dr Wayne
W Dyer, Louise L Hay, Dalai Lama, Nature.
I
am a motivational speaker and presenter. I have
facilitated Yoga, Meditation and self-esteem workshops
for conventions and corporate gatherings including
Western College of Adult Education and TAFE NSW.
For almost 5 years I have been working with Break
Thru Solutions; teaching Yoga, Relaxation Techniques
and Self-Improvement classes to young adults with
Special Needs. I also hold Pre & Post Natal
Yoga and YogaBugs (kids yoga) workshops, and Meditation
classes.
I
have traveled extensively abroad. I have a genuine
love of all people, places and cultures. In 1999,
I was a volunteer at a kibbutz in Israel and later
an assistant on a dive boat in the Red Sea. Whilst
on a working holiday in England in 2000-2001 I
spent 2 wonderful weeks at a Buddhist Monastery
called Amaravati.
Product:
I released my first Yoga DVD and Meditation CD
titled Yoga with Kym; Inspiration Series in August
2007. A revised edition of the DVD titled Begin
Yoga with Kym was released in November 2007.
I exhibited DVD and yoga products at MindBodySpirit
Festival in Sydney November 2007. I also had the
opportunity to introduce Yoga with Kym with a
welcomed performance on the main stage at the
popular exhibition.
Yoga with Kym DVD has received reviews in Australian
Yoga Life, Innerself and Nova Magazines. Yoga
with Kym is currently available at Adyar Bookshop,
Sydney and online at www.yogawithkym.com.au
Community:
With the communities help I raised over $25,000
for my nephew who is currently in Westmead Children’s
Hospital. To help promote fundraising events I
have had air time with local radio station 2DU,
who were also major sponsors of ‘A Day in
the Park for Julian’. I am in regular contact
with Sydney radio station 2UE who are also raising
awareness to young Julian’s plight with
listeners donating to this cause.

My Story
I
was fortunate to grow up in a close, happy and
loving family in country NSW.
My Father was a linesman for the local Electricity
Company and my Mother worked as a waitress.
After
school I studied Business and Administration and
soon began a career in the corporate world. From
Banking & Finance to Insurance I moved through
the ranks and although I was feeling proud of
my achievements I was never content for too long.
My
life was to change soon after when my Mother suffered
a cerebral haemorrhage. My once lively, healthy
Mum was now being kept alive by a machine. How
could this be? It didn’t seem real. I thought
these things only happened to other people.
The doctors didn’t give us much hope, infact
they were just waiting for my Brother to be flown
in from Brisbane to turn off the life support.
They asked me to go into a room with the social
worker to call other family members and close
friends to come and say ‘goodbye’.
I was in shock, I was numb but I managed to call
relatives and friends, most of them already knew
and were on their way to the hospital.
Wayne did arrive, however the events that followed,
support my belief that anything is possible and
that Miracles really do happen.
With her husband and children bedside, Mum moved
one hand and was quickly rushed from Emergency
to Intensive Care. There was hope, there was life
and there was most definitely Spirit.
After several major operations, years of rehabilitation
and Mum finally regaining her eyesight and memory,
I can say, along with her Specialist Doctors that
my Mother is a Miracle.
I
decided soon after to embark on my long awaited
overseas adventure solo. It had been my dream
for many years to travel and now the timing was
right. I had a genuine fascination with people,
the world and how we all live our lives. The Middle
East was my first stop where I volunteered at
a kibbutz in Israel for 3 months before making
my way to the Egyptian Red Sea to scuba dive.
I later arrived in the UK to begin the working
part of my holiday. It was in London that I was
introduced to Yoga, and I remember floating out
of every class. I wondered why they didn’t
teach these practices in school? There is a saying….
‘when the student is ready the teacher will
appear’. Everything started to make sense,
pieces of the puzzle were coming together and
I was intrigued. I felt the real me for the first
time.
I enjoyed Wayne Dyer workshops, visits to Hare
Krishna Temple in Soho and especially the 14 days
spent in silence at the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery.
I was to return home a year later after Mum had
suffered a stroke. I began teaching my new found
life skills and Yoga practices in the local community
as I helped care for Mum. I secured a banking
position in the small country town and began saving
for my Yoga Teacher Training Course. It was to
be another year later that I returned to England
to begin my training. I moved through the course
and the challenging poses with ease. I really
enjoyed learning about the history of Yoga, the
chanting, the breathing techniques, the strong
physical workout and insightful meditations. I
was so grateful that Yoga had found me, I was
blessed to be able to teach it and now I wanted
to see if other people felt the same way.
I
have been teaching Yoga, Meditation, Pre &
Post Natal Yoga and kids Yoga for almost 10 years.
I have helped bring Yoga to the schools within
my community and I have been teaching Yoga and
Meditation to young adults with special needs
for nearly 5 years.
In
2007 I self-produced a Yoga DVD titled ‘Begin
Yoga with Kym’, set up a website and exhibited
DVD & Yoga products at Sydneys MindBodySpirit
Festival.
I
am happily married to Paul, a market gardener/greengrocer
and we have two beautiful children, 4 yrs young
Tobias (Tobey) and 2 yrs young Sienna.
We live in Dubbo, central west New South Wales.
In
January 2008 my Brothers son had an extremely
serious accident. This beautiful 3 yrs young little
boy has suffered horrific injuries and still remains
in Westmead Childrens’ Hospital today. His
road to recovery is long, slow, and often painful.
With the communities help, I have raised over
$25,000 this year to help in my nephews’
recovery. People have been amazing, giving so
much of their time, resources and money to help
a little family at such a difficult time.
I have seen first hand what a difference it makes
to have support, love & compassion in the
community. It gives the family strength, hope
and courage to move forward knowing they are not
alone.
The funds enable the family to stay together and
to focus all energies on the health, healing and
care of their son, who is most important.
My
goal is to open my very own Retreat, a beautiful
place in harmony with the natural environment.
This would be a place where people can enjoy Yoga,
Meditation & Spiritual Awakening classes,
healthy eating, peace and quiet reflection.
My Beliefs’
I
believe in the Universal Life Force, in Energy
and in Spirit.
I
believe each of us carry great talents and Gifts
that we naturally bring to others.
I
believe we have a shared responsibility to help
bring Unity, Peace and Positive change to the
world.
I
believe in Equality, in Fairness and in Respect
of living things regardless of age, colour, health,
religion or circumstance.
I
believe in the Power of Now, of living in the
Present and the Gift of Life.
I
believe in Life, Love, Divine Timing and Miracles.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness that
most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I
to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child
of God. Your playing small does not serve the
world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around
you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God
that is within us. It's not just in some of us;
it's in everyone. And as we let our own light
shine, we unconsciously give other people permission
to do the same. As we are liberated from our own
fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

the Principles of A Course in Miracles, Harper

‘The world out there is a school Dan. Life
