Ethiopian businesswoman probes Namibia prospects

A Business woman from Ethiopia, Senait Dimitri, is in the country to explore possible business investment opportunities.

On Tuesday Dimitri paid a courtesy call on President Sam Nujoma.

Dimitri arrived in the country on Sunday and has had meetings with business houses and other Small Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) on likely investment areas in Namibia.

Dimitri also said her aim was to look for business opportunities in the fishing and mining sectors of Namibia.

Welcoming Dimitri to his office, President Nujoma said Namibia was endowed with a variety of natural resources which Ethiopian businesses could help exploit.

He said there was a strong possibility of government accepting her proposal if put forward.

Dimitri is expected to leave Namibia later Saturday.
