As
the Sydney Morning Herald Spike column said "How
much more leopard print and collagen implants
can Queensland take?"
Only
a plastic surgeon would know
It's
official! One of the worst kept secrets has now
been confirmed, cosmetic and glamour puss businesswoman,
Ivana Trump, has teamed up with the Australian
development firm Aquiplan to build a $150 million,
luxury condominium project in Queensland's exclusive
Airlie Beach.
The
development, known as Ivana Great Barrier Reef,
is one of a series of property projects across
the globe Trump has taken an interest.
Aquiplan
received development approval late last year to
proceed with the 42-unit project facing Airlie
Beach.
The
group, headed by John Stavrou and Niko Aquilina,
has brought together a world-class team of designers,
including Ms Trump, to develop this luxury development.
"We
are delighted to have Ms Trump as our co-creator,"
Stavrou said.
"She
epitomises everything we are trying to achieve
at Airlie Beach - style, grace and perfection,"
Trump
is currently putting the final touches on another
condominium complex known as Bentley Bay in Miami
Florida and is looking forward to taking her property
credentials to new heights.
"The
most exciting thing about Ivana Great Barrier
Reef is that it truly is a new direction in property
development. This is taking luxury to a new level,
with absolute attention to detail in every manner
of speaking," Trump said.
"The
Whitsundays is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful
regions of the world. I can't wait to get down
there and see our project take shape.
"I
am so proud of what we have achieved and I know
Australia will be entranced by what we have created.
"Ivana
Great Barrier Reef will not only add a new design
element to one of Australia's most sought after
addresses, but set new benchmarks for luxury living."
Designed
by the Crone Partners, the project will incorporate
42 ultra luxurious apartments with a top price
of around $6 million - a record for Airlie Beach.
Each
apartment in the waterfront complex will come
complete with its own swimming pool, a minimum
250 square metres of living space and attention
to detail, every step of the way.
Sales
will be conducted by invitation only, with a significant
proportion of the project expected to be snapped
up by high net worth individuals from across the
globe.
Aquiplan
chief executive officer John Stavrou said, "This
is a project of international significance".
"This
isn't a product we intend to put to the investment
market. It is a product which is designed for
someone who wants exclusive living," Stavrou
concluded.
