In the past few years the Whitsunday's have attracted more than their fair share of attention.

Just when you thought things might have cooled down up Airlie way, they got a lot hotter.

The socialites keep rolling in. This time it's Ivana Trump, ex wife of property tycoon, come Reality TV mogul, Donald Trump.

Ivana has been pushing forward the development of a new hotel and complex.

One must imagine that the real estate agents and developers in the Airlie Beach area must be feeling a little more relaxed now.

You can bet there's a swag of agents and developers just waiting to pitch to Trump.

Local agents and developers servicing the area include PDR, La Mercia Developments, and you can bet that the online listings via the f2 Network (Fairfax), Property Path and the like, are being hard hit at present.

By all accounts, it appears that the Whitsunday's have indeed played a master trump card.
