The End Times - The End of the World

There is an increasing belief that as we approach the year 2005, we are in "the end times", and that the end of the world as we know it, is just around the corner.

Certainly, if you look at recent events, and even those not so recent, there are many compelling arguments. This also holds true when you look at things from a biblical point of view, or that of a planetary perspective, referring to the ancient philosopher, Nostradamus.

Interestingly, some of Nostradamus' writings have been found to be forged, whilst some ancient biblical items have also proved to be fake.

World leader, George Bush, frequently says things in God's name? It is possible that a brave and unconventional world leader may start quoting a prophet such as Nostradamus? Does this sound far fetched? Witness movie star Tom Cruise's close association with the Church of Scientology. Does Cruise have political aspirations, such as other notable actors turned politicians, Ronald Regan and Arnold Schwarzenegger?

What is not in dispute is the sorry state of the world, be it at the hand of man, or natural disasters.

Some of the most recent tragedies include the Asia tsunami and earthquake (approx. 150,000 deceased), the war in the Middle East, the attack on America (Twin Towers in New York and Washington), L.A riots, famine in Africa, world homelessness, war in Palestine and so it goes on. One may even put forward Australia's own "blacks" (Aborigines) in custody and the Redfern riots. Pitcairn Island, a virtual paradise was undone by the hand of outsiders. Then there's the breakdown of families in society, which sometimes ends in terrible circumstances when "the law" makes it unbearable for those concerned, sometimes resulting in one of the parents of the children killing themselves, and even the whole family. When you add in the sex crimes committed by not only regular society, but those in the clergy (church), it paints a dim outlook.

Has the world finally woken up from the "greed is good" mentality, and opened up there minds and hearts, to see that a "love thy neighbour" philosophy is a preferred karma and a better way to live?

Nostradamus 5-96 tells us:
