Prior
to founding EventsLeader, Winstead graduated with
honors and a Bachelor of Science degree from East
Carolina where he attended on an athletic scholarship
and served as President of his school. After graduation,
Winstead served his Country in the United States Army
with high marks and various leadership roles.
In
1990, Winstead opened his first business "Ladies
Fitness and Wellness". There, he owned, operated,
managed 72 employees and two locations. He devised
a new system for operations, developed a prototype
and duplicated his Business Model in 11 new locations
and implemented his systems in over one hundred start-up
and existing businesses across the country. Over time
he sold for profit, his interest in each business
and has been working independently as a National Marketing
Strategists.
He
has assisted hundreds of businesses in various industries.
To better assist businesses in his local market, Winstead
developed "Carolina Family Shows Inc.",
a tradeshow circuit with a unique concept. That is
when he discovered the enormous need in the market
place for one medium that could serve as a marketing
tool as well as a dependable source of specific information
for people and businesses all over the world.
Licensed
in Real Estate, Winstead has experience in brokering
commercial and residential investments, negotiations,
purchase, leases, and options.
He
also believes in philanthropy and community service.
He has been a member of the local Jaycees and assisted
several organizations by donations and volunteering.
In
2000 Winstead started his own foundation, "T.E.A.M."
which benefits disadvantaged and disabled children.
Winstead also initiated the establishment and serves
on the Executive Board of Directors for "The
First Tee of Wake County" a non-profit affiliated
with The World Golf Foundation.
Winstead
also takes pride in his service to Ronald McDonald
House, YMCA, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and various
other charities.
